I love PostSecret. I think it's brilliant for so many reasons, and I love that it's taken off like it has. I want to send a post card in because I want to be a part of something so massive and positive, and I think it will be a good exercise in self-awareness to chose a personal experience or opinion to share. I'm excited.

I've noticed that when I do small photography projects, I start to look at the world differently - with more attention to detail. I also go a little slower through my day, hoping to catch sight of whatever I'm looking to photograph. Anything that opens my eyes and slows me down is good for me. I think this will be a fun one to do.
Forest Park is the largest urban forest area in the United States, and it's right here in my beloved Portland. There are over 70 miles of walking and running trails in the park, and I've never taken advantage of having this amazing resource so close. I think spending time there will feel like I'm a million miles away - an easy retreat when I need one.
