Run with the bulls.
Sports & Adventure

Why were you inspired to do this?

Because its one of the most adrenalin activities out there. Spain’s annual festival of San Fermin in Pamplona is best known for the encierro, or Running of the Bulls, where thousands pound the streets while being pursued by a herd of irate bulls.

What were 3 things you did to make this happen?

The festival of San Fermin is held from July 7-14 every year with the opening ceremony kicking off at noon on July 6 from the Town Hall. A huge street party ensues with the music, sangria and champagne flowing.

Being next to the town hall for 6am wit the Aussie guys.

How did you feel once you had accomplished this?

It felt amazing the adrenalin was so powerful, after hitting the wall i felt a little bad for standing on some guys head after he fell in front of me but the bulls were right next to me as i ran through the tunnel and it really is everyone for themselves.

hey, yeah it was hot but a little chilly in the evenings!

i think when you see those bulls you will just run for your life, good fitness would be ok but you could do it!!!! :)

let me know how you get on!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

This is so cool, I definitely imagine myself doing this, though I have to say, I'm not much of a runner. Would you say this is an experience for the fit runner types only, just because of the element of danger? Spain is already on my list. What's Spain like in July? Is it sweltering hot?

The bulls run very fast, you can hear them on the stone before you see them!! it sounds like thunder, it was an amazing experience but the day after i ran a young man was killed, so you really have to do this on your own, you really cant look after anyone on this run. :)

Wow! I see where the "fight or flight" would quickly kick in! It sounds like a great experience but how fast do bulls run anyway? I'm happy you all survived and your pictures were amazing. I think I'll be a spectator first... Thanks for sharing your trip to Spain.

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Having the balls to wait around for 2 hours before the bulls were let out.
